Summary: Memories are Made of this
Comments: To my mind, the best Judy Collins album. This was the 1st album for which she recorded 3 of her own songs: Albatross, Sky Fell and Since You've Asked. It also gave her her 1st hit single, a cover of Joni Mitchell's Both Sides Now. She also covers another Joni song taken from Miss Mitchell's dehowever album Song to a Seagull, as well as 3 songs by Leonard Cohen,1of which is a beautiful version of Hey, That's No Way To Say greatbye. If you are a fan of this late 60's brand of introspective folk music, and have never listened to this album, then I suggest you purchase it whilst it is still available. I cannot endorse this album highly enough. Albatross (nothing to do with Fleetwood Mac) still sends a tingle along my spine. |

Comments: This is an old favorite. I enjoy Judy Collins treatment of just about any song. I had the LP years ago and listened to it many, many times. If you are a fan of the folk ballad genre, Judy Collins does it well. |
